Upping the ante
To all,
We are getting close to our 10/19 event and continue to have others joining the fun as participants.
We are currently at about $12,000 raised thus far thanks to the generous donations of many of you. Our goal is $20,000 and we are working hard to achieve that for the many outstanding programs DSACO provides for people who have not been as financially blessed as those on this letter.
I have many friends who enjoy seeing me suffer. With that in mind, and in an effort to achieve our $20,000 goal, I’ve decided to up the ante. If we achieve our goal of raising $20,000 I will add an extra 321 pushups or 321 burpees (I’m thinking we’ll do a coin flip to decide) at the end of my endeavor. That’s gonna hurt but that’s how much I believe in this cause.
I never cease to be amazed by how many people I know that have been touched by someone with Down Syndrome. Whether an immediate family member, a distant relative, a family friend or just someone they know. The common denominator is how they all came away with such a positive and joyful interaction. Who doesn’t want to help that!
Thanks so much for your support and please spread the word.
Jeff
