Been There, Done That – With a Twist
The long-awaited year of 2021 has arrived and I know all our fans are anxiously awaiting word on just what the 2021 event will be (we’re up to 9 non-family followers by the way).
One of the interesting things about this DSACO event is that every year has been a little different. This isn’t one of those lame things where every year you run a 5K or bike 10 miles and know what to expect. This event is about embracing change, adapting and overcoming.
For 2021 the brain trust (I’m taking some artistic liberty here) came up with something familiar with something different.
Drum roll please … in 2021 we’re back to BURPEES – America’s Favorite!
This year the 3-2-1 Challenge is how many burpees you can do in 3 hours 21 minutes. Maybe it’s 1, maybe it’s 10, maybe it’s 100. It’s up to you how hard you want to push yourself. As for me, I’m doing 300 burps every day (no missing days) to get ready for the event in October.
I know – sounds like fun but we can’t forget what this is all about. It’s about helping others. It’s about helping families and individuals not as blessed as those reading this.
In later blogs I’ll detail the great things DSACO is doing to help. While DSACO isn’t as big as some charities, I’ll take quality over quantity any day. Stay tuned.
P.S. I almost forgot. I finally watched Blades of Glory today. Long overdue. Shout out to the Chaz man.
